Repeat Prescriptions

If you would like to order further supplies of a medication that is listed as a repeat item on the right hand side of your prescription, there are several different ways you can arrange this:

Online through this website:
In order to access the online repeat prescription request facility on the first occasion you will need to contact the surgery to request your log-in details.  You need to come to the surgery in person with a form of photographic ID (driving licence, passport etc.).  For more information please click here.

Once you have logged in then follow the ‘Request a repeat prescription’ link, if you select this link it will take you to a screen displaying all your authorised repeat prescription items. On this page you simply need to select the items you require then click the ‘Make Request’ button, if you are happy you have selected the correct item click confirm and your prescription request will be made.

Each time you log in using your personal access details the screen will then show you the status of your current prescription request.

Bring your request to the surgery on Monday - Friday 8.30am - 6.00pm.
There is a post box in the reception counter.  We will also soon have a post box on the outside of the building which will mean you can drop off your request at any time including evenings and weekends.

Via a local chemist
Complete your request slip and take it to any of the chemists in Lutterworth - the advantage of this method is that the chemist can collect the prescription for you from the surgery too.  You will then be able to go directly to the chemist for your medication without calling at the Medical Centre.  Several of the chemists are happy to take your request by telephone.
A list of local chemists and their contact numbers can be found on the Telephone Numbers link.

Whichever method you use you must allow 48 hours (two working days) for your prescription to be processed.  You can order repeat medication up to 2 weeks before you are due to use the last of your current supply.

In the event of requesting medication which is not on your repeat medication or if you are overdue a medication review, it may take longer than 48 hours as a doctor will have to review the request.

Prescription Charges

People in the following categories are automatically exempt from prescription charges: children under 16, under 19 and in full-time education and all patients over 60 years of age.  Other exemption categories are listed on the reverse of the prescription form.

‘Season Tickets’

It is sometimes worthwhile buying a season ticket for pre-payment of prescription charges.  You should speak with your Pharmacist about this or call 0845 850 0030 for advice.
